Vtg Early Mexican Sterling Silver Fiery Opal Foil Glass Necklace Earrings Set
With the pendant dropping another 3. This set pre-dates the eagle marking system and is unique for its delicate and more petite profile. The glass cabs are vibrantly colored/foiled and made to simulate opal. They are slightly domed in shape and do not have any chipping or surface wear. The silverwork is fine and detailed and there are no signs of solder/repair.
The silver has a bright patina with very little surface wear. Overall this is a finely made and striking, opal glass necklace and earrings set, that was made in Mexico during the 1940.
