Vintage Sterling Silver Navajo Turquoise Earrings Signed by Carolyn Sandoval Hug. Beautifully made sterling silver 1 inch by 0.5 inch huggie earrings designed and made by Navajo Carolyn Sandoval Hughes. Carolyn was born in 1921 and was the daughter of Jose Ildefonso and Lenore (Martinez) Sandoval. She was a noted artist and her works are important in the Native American art world. The earrings each have one cabochon turquoise piece and the silver is intricately designed around them. These are likely to be from the 1940's or 50's and have ear clips. The maker's mark CS along with an arrow confirm the artist. A beautiful pair of Native American history.
