Each earring features a lovely amethyst stone in a bezel setting. The earrings are shaped into ovals with filigree and twisted rope motifs around the edges. Complete with clip-on backings for secure wear on pierced or unpierced ears. There is some patina to the gold in some areas which gives the piece a lovely antique quality.

The stone is slightly loose in its setting, an intentional design choice on the part of the jeweler to prevent damage while setting the stone; however, the stone is completely secure and this does not affect wear.
