Georg Jensen was a Danish silversmith and founded his first shop in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1904. His background in fine arts, combined with his silversmithing, allowed him to create beautiful and high-quality jewelry which quickly became highly sought after. In the 1920s he opened locations in Berlin, London, and New York, producing popular Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces. His pieces were known for their whimsical nature scenes, with flowing lines, and serene images.
