We were lucky enough to come across the entire set that goes along with these earrings! These beautiful earrings come from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the "Gatsby" or "Roaring Twenties" Era.

A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period. During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.

Persian Turquoise is a highly coveted and rare type of turquoise. It has been mined for thousands of years in Modern Day Iran. The most coveted type of Persian Turquoise is a solid bright blue hue that is very difficult to find. Chinese Export jewelry became popular during the late Victorian Period and lasted until the 1960's. In a lot of ways Chinese Export jewelry fashioned what we know of jewelry today.

During these period's Chinese Craftsmen including Jewelers, Stone cutters were considered by far the best in the world. The rich and wealthy would have a piece custom ordered through their local jeweler whom was usually gifted at drawing a design to send off to contacts in China to craft and send back. As you can imagine, this was not cheap, that being said, these pieces are very rare and few have survived until today. These gorgeous earrings includes beautiful Persian Turquoise gem stones throughout that are all beautifully cabochon cut.

The Turquoise gems all feature an incredible light blue & light green color that is beautifully solid throughout and feature an incredible size and beautiful oval shape! The Persian Turquoise gems are in great condition and weigh in at an incredible 14.21 Cts. The silver work in this piece includes classic Art Deco hand craftsmanship and a stunning design! The design includes a gorgeous prong setting that holds the turquoise in place perfectly. On the side of each setting we have a lovely Chinese dragon design carved into the silver work!

The earrings measure in at 2" long by 3/4" wide and are backed with stud style backings that work perfectly. Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates. Due to the age of some of these pieces, some items will not be stamped. The National Stamping Act was not enacted until 1906, before 1906 jewelry was not legally required to have a karat mark.
