This is the price a piece would be worth if stripped down and melted to its bare materials. This beautiful piece comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the "Gatsby" or "Roaring Twenties" Era.

A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period. During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand. Mother of Pearl is a beautiful type of Mollusk shell lining that is used in jewelry.

It has been prized for thousands of years for its Iridescent beauty and they way it lights up jewelry. The earrings include beautiful hand carved Mother of Pearl. The MOP is contoured in shape to look like a real geometric fan shape. This shape was popular during the Art Deco period.

The MOP has a beautiful play of color and iridescence/sheen. The earrings include classic handmade Art Deco craftsmanship throughout including granulated bead accents around the sterling silver caps on the topside of the earrings. The earrings measure 2 and 1/4 by 1 and 3/4. The earrings include shepard hooks as well for pierced ears.

If you wish a jeweler could easily add screw backs for un-pierced ears as well. Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates.
