Vintage Margot De Taxco Solid Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace & Earrings Signed

  

Possibly 1940's or 1950's. Necklace AND EARRINGS ARE marked 5577 and are signed, hallmarked and stamped STERLING MADE IN MEXICO. Measures approximately 16 and 1/16 inches for the pendant necklace (I measured like 5 times, just to be sure). It is snug on me (still lays flat), but I usually wear 18 inch chains or longer. My neck is a little big for a woman, but I could still wear it (with little discomfort) if I wanted to.

Earrings measure a total of 2 inches long. People should remember that, back 40 to 60 years ago, people were, in general, smaller in stature and overall size. Left in exactly as found condition -- always leave certain items for buyers to clean themselves so I don't accidentally ruin it by cleaning it wrong or using the wrong cleaning product. Weight of necklace and earrings in total is 93 grams. Clasp is tight and works the way that it was designed.

Stones are all present and are not damaged. One of the pink stones on one of the earrings has a light orange or dark yellow spot on it. I don't know if it is something that can be removed or if it is under the surface of the stone. I did not notice it until I was taking close up photos of the earrings.

It is just an assumption. The smaller, purple stones are probably Amethysts -- I have personal jewelry pieces that have Amethysts and they look exactly like the small stones on these pieces.
