Stunning Rare Vintage Signed Los Castillo Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver Blue Glass Fish Design Screw back Earrings. The measurements are 1" by 13/16" by 3/8 dome height. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Los Castillo was one of the best silversmiths in Taxco, Mexico, in the 19th Century. The company was formed by 4 brothers, Don Antonio, Jorge, Miguel & Justo Castillo in the late 1930's.

Don Antonio Castillo was an apprentice for William Spratling's Las Delicias workshop in the early 1930's. Los Castillo is famous for their incredible craftsmanship and their revival of ancient techniques. Los Castillo jewelry pieces are very collectible and are highlighted in several of the Mexican collectible jewelry books. Antonio Castillo was married to the famous silversmith designer Margot Van Voorhies Carr from the late 1930's until 1948.
