I used to volunteer at an oprhanage in Mexico for children who were quadripalegic. I'd swat the fly swarms off their faces continuously while reading to them in a language they didn't understand and I'd never seen a human so grateful. So until you've spent time with a girl whose life was so bad before that a crazy white boy swatting flies off your face was pleasant then you dont get to cry over toys.

The lecture continued with tales of other children around the globe my friend who writes for Children International tells. I told her about the interview he did in the DR where children who get a bowl of watered down coffee if they find a precious metal in the filthy, colossal pile of trash they get to dig through all day long. A far cry from watching an Ipad and picking out toys before getting pizza. Needless to say the lecture series was not a hit and thus will be used so many times.

After about 10 minutes she litcherally got down on her knees and prayed the only prayer she's ever heard, Dear God make me a bird, so I can fly far, far, far away. Yes, Jenny, from Forest Gump is the only prayer she's seen and has memorized. Oh and thanks to me quoting Pulp Fiction at the dogs she knows Ezekial 25:17.

We are horrible Christians, which by the way, she nastily called me once because she thought I was flirting with the waiter and also thought a Christian is when a man marries another man. Anywho, she doesn't like being told what to do either. I do like to surprise people though and randomly give them gifts when they would never expect it.

Which is what I'll work on today. I'm going to start moving my Native American and Mexican silver. And other random pieces to boot at the same price point as the coins.
