This is the price a piece would be worth if stripped down and melted to its bare materials. This beautiful pair of earrings were made by a very talented Native American silversmith. It features hand crafted silversmith work throughout. Antique Native American jewelry is very rare to find. This is due to these pieces being made for reservation and personal use before the tourist trade became popular.

Very few pieces were made and even less survived to today. Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is known throughout the world for it's gorgeous solid blue hue.

It is very similar in look to Persian Turquoise and just as rare due to the perfect blue hues it has. This is a rare type of turquoise that we are lucky to find today! Petit Point is a style of stone cutting widely attributed to the Zuni Native American Tribe.

It involved cut small tear drop looking stones facing the same direction. It is a very difficult way to cut a stone and looks beautiful in silver jewelry. The earrings include beautiful Sleeping Beauty Turquoise throughout the earrings, being that the stones are 80+ years old, they green with age, and some are a mix of green and lighter blue hues, truly magnificent! Every stone would of been completely hand cabochon cut specifically for the silver settings throughout the earrings. The silver work in these earrings are completely handmade and feature traditional Zuni Nation silver work throughout. The silver work is also some of the finest antique Native American silver work I've seen, the design features beautiful saw tooth bezel work around every stone as well as gorgeous bell like dangles with turquoise stones studded throughout. The earrings include posts for pierced ears, however they do not have backings, you can pick some up just about anywhere. They measure 1.5" by just under 1/2" wide. Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates.

Most jewelry stores work with new/modern designs and on rare occasion are asked about vintage items. Chain jewelers are NOT a reliable source to date a piece of jewelry unless they are specialized with estate items.
